Replacement Tag Heuer Bezel Request

I recently lost the bezel on my 15 - 20 year old Tag Heuer professional 200 meters. It is very similar to this one and I'm looking for options to get it replaced.



An authorised Tag retailer is the first option but I presume this will be expensive. Would non-authorised repair centre be a better option?

A quick search on ebay shows there are Tag bezels available but not this specific one at the moment, I guess I could always try to get one and fit it myself. Are there any other options should I consider?

I don't have any specific experience of TAGs but most manufacturers will insist on taking the watch in for a complete service which is obviously not going to be cheap even though there's no reason why a reasonably gifted owner couldn't fit it themselves. In the two experiences I had, Rolex would not sell me a buckle as I wanted to fit it to a non-Rolex strap and JLC wouldn't sell me a spring bar without taking the watch in for a service (now that would have been expensive). Rolex were however quite happy to advise me that I could order the part I wanted via an approved dealer and I got one from WoS at Heathrow.

Your best bet, I would have thought, is to ring a watchmaker/dealer who can order TAG parts. Their website doesn't list many options in Ireland but the list is a little longer for the UK. I would ring round a few there; hopefully you'll get one that understands what it is that you require but I'd expect to get significantly more knockbacks as ADs are not always known for employing the brightest of staff. Make sure you have the reference and serial number for your watch which hopefully prevent you from getting the wrong part.

I can't see your model there but they say they can order direct from tag which could avoid the need for the service if you go direct.

I'd be careful with watchpart - they seem to have quite a few unhappy customers. If they are your only source then I would definitely only pay with a credit card that had some sort of payment protection. They also seem to take Paypal which also offers something.
