    Hi there...

Just curious if they cut films so they fit in the 2 hour time slots they normally use. So not cutting them to remove language or violence etc., just for timing.

Only asking 'cos my wife watched Prometheus there tonight, and while she couldn't point to a definite scene in particular, she had a real sense that some scenes where just a bit shorter. Looking online, apparently the movie is 2 hours and 4 mins long, and Sky showed it from just after 8 until just before 10.

    Anyone know? Thanks...

    Jason.

They do cut and edit movies.

Noticed before that they cut horrible bosses scenes and also some scenes from Ted and a few others.

i cant get sky here but, you pay enough for the movies that it seems kind of cheeky for the whores to start chopping movies.

DVD releases are sometimes cut too compared to the cinema version.

ITV are notorious for cutting movies. RTE to their credit usually show a movie in its entirity or not at all.
