Growing tired of my existing G35 headset, great sound but its very uncomfortable for longer sessions.
Id like to keep similar sound quality but something more comfy, suggestions appreciated.

Id prefer not to pay much more than €100 since im really changing for convenience more than an essential purchase if you get my meaning :)

Looking about on the net and the steel series are getting good mentions.

My Turtle beach PX21's broke yesterday so, I was looking at these http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SP-014-CS&groupid=702&catid=1058&subcat=1847
They're a bit pricy but, I'm sick of dealing with wires.

I have that headset, and it's very nice. Quite a bit lighter than you'd think by looking at it. Sound is a lot better than I was expecting (though it can't hold a candle to my 595s, that's to be expected) and the range is alright. About 10-15m, through three walls.

Plantronics GameCom 780 Open Ear Gaming Headset with 7.1 Surround Sound.

    Nice and cheap.

You're better off buying real headphones and a separate mic. You will have better sound quality that way.

    They don't look remotely comfortable.

Lads im looking to buy a new headset aswell, ive still got TB X1's from years ago and finally the foam has wore out of them :p So my ears kill me after long gaming sessions. Rather than start a new thread I just thought id ask on this, I have a bit of a lower budget about 60 quid as I dont want to go to mad :p
    Thanks

EDIT: Been looking at the Steelseries that BB posted and the reviews from them look like their the best ones for around my budget, but ive also been looking at the razer Carcharias, anyone have any experience with razer headsets?

If you're referring to my post, I assure you they at least match the Siberia V2s, whose pads lose their firmness after a while and provide very little cushioning. All while offering middling audio performance.

I think he was referring to baked noodles post :p

Nope I was referring to Brians. They don't look comfortable at all. Massive cups with no floating headband.

He's replacing a pair because of discomfort, why replace them with another pair of uncomfortable headphones?

Those Plantronics have had rave reviews and they're cheap. I might get those for the time being.

On a few reviews ive read, people have said they get really uncomfortable after long gaming sessions, thats kind of what is making me go for the steel series siberias. Also seen that the corsair vengeance 1500 have went down, makin them just ten euro more expensive then the siberias, is it worth it?

Haha, there's more to comfort than "floating headbands". Nevermind!

I've actually had a pair of the plantronics for about 7-8 months now. I find them very comfortable, and the sound & mic quality are reasonable. Plus they're relatively cheap... which is always a plus...

I setup my G35`s on a rather large football in a position to one would wear them ie the ball for the head, left them overnight and most of the day and the result is a vastly more comfortable headset, the sound is fantastic with the G35 and that was never an issue.
If the new shape stays as they are now i will be more than happy and have no need to but another set, why didnt i have a football wear them before now? lol its a funny sight :)

Got the plantronics today, very impressed, although they are very big there extremely comfortable, and when u install the software the sound really is top notch :)

Got mine Friday. I'm happy so far. I'm on windows 8 so, had to run the software in compatibility mode. Gaming with 7.1 surround sound is very cool. Great for movies too. Hopefully they will last more then a year.

I'd be shocked if they didn't. :pac:

Have had mine since October and there's virtually 0 signs of wear & tear on them so far, so that's a decent sign right? ;)

Anyone know where you can pick up the Siberia V2 in Ireland in an old fashioned bricks and mortar shop? I was hoping to get the red or green ones.

I see gamestop have them on their site, but does anyone know if they stock them in store?

Other than that anyone know of any sites here that sell them online?

PC world stock them I've seen them for sale in a few different stores.
    But only in white
