Zero grazing - with the baler

I've about 4 days feeding left and after that the cows have to go out. Although there is some grass the land is extremely wet and there is no doubt that it will be poached into crap in no-time when the cows go out.

I was thinking about cutting a few swards around some of the silage fields, baling it and drawing it in to the cattle in the shed, day by day. Anybody else ever try this ? Obviously I would need to come up with another plan for silage but surely it would be better that poaching the place into crap!

We have done it in the past.
Only cut a few bales at a time , Dont chop or pack the bales too much or they will start heating .

Saw on here last year that someone had a front mounted mower and put a baler on behind. didnt put on any netting and left the bale back in to the cattle and un rolled it. Thought it was a great idea.
