Has anybody visited here? Would appreciate any info anybody has particularly any info on getting to Barcelona from here. Is there a train service. Will have a car but would prefer not to bring it to Barcelona when doing day trip.

Hi Layinghen, we rented a house in Llafranc last year, it's a gorgeous place - I envy you. We didn't go Barcelona while we were there, but we were advised that the bus from Palafrugell (approx 5km from Llafranc) is the easiest way. I think the nearest train station is quite a drive away. The bus info is here.

    Hope this helps.

    http://www.renfe.com/EN/viajeros/cercanias/barcelona/

Linea R1 runs up to Macanet, with Blanes as the second last station. An option would be to drive down to Blanes train station, and park and ride.

I you DO decide to drive down to Barcelona, an option is to exit the Ronda Litoral at exit 22, go left towards Barceloneta, head down Carrer de Pizarro as far as the Mercat(municipal market), where you will find an off street underground car park. The local sights are within walking distance, and there's a Metro station at the top of Barceloneta if you want to go further :)

Thank you for that. Our plan is to do the bus tour of Barcelona one day and we were thinking that by getting the train in we should be able to pick up a tour bus near the railway station.
