Macbook Pro RAM Upgrade

Hi all, Can anyone advise me on a RAM upgrade query?

    I have a Macbook Pro Early 2011 13" with 1333MHz So-Dimms.

Apple says the max I can have on my laptop is 8GB (Split 4GB Modules)..

Trying to buy upgrade parts and most websites saying it can hold up to 16GB. I can by a 2x 4GB kit for €65, or a single 8GB module for the same. Is it worth buying the single 8GB and leave an existing 2GB module in slot one and chance upgrading to the 10GB? Or.. go with the dual 4GB kit and take out the dual 2GB kit I have? Decisions Decisions....

Im looking at memoryc.ie but if anyone has alternative recommendations I'd be glad to have them just to compare.
