Bought a new Zanussi Fridge Freezer , and have some complaints to make .
    • It comes with 3 shelves , yet there is 10 slots for shelves
    • It comes with an egg tray to fit 6 eggs only
    • The bottom tray is unlevel

Like , who buys 6 eggs nowadays , not is anyway , we always buy 18 eggs .

Look at the can of Budweiser , its ready to fall over ,

Why can they not make this compartment level , or what are you meant to put in this drawer.

I asked shop assistant about the extras before buying , and he said to contact Zanussi if we want to buy extra assessories .

Should these not come as standard nowadays .

Not sure if you're being serious or not...

That's a vegetable drawer, for vegetables. Grooves to allow air to circulate under the veg, etc.

One of those shelves is to sit directly above that drawer, so that it's contained seperate to rest of fridge.

Here's a pic of a Zanussi fridge (tho same applies to all fridges) with correct use of shelves.

All fridges have extra shelf grooves, so you can adjust your shelves up/down depending on what you wish to stock on them.

The 6-eggs holder is the norm too. Just keep the eggs in the carton.

Well first of all we are delighted with new fridge-freezer , and not overly concerned about the few bits that are missing , but just decided to post to give other potential buyers an insight into what to watch out for .

Interesting that the bottom compartment is designed for vegetables .
We never store our vegetables in the fridge , and have never seen vegetables for sale in local shops / supermarkets from fridge stock.

We've been through a few fridges in our time , and always had solid trays with no air-vents .

Luckily we kept the egg slots from old fridge and now have storage for 11 eggs ( bakers dozen )

You should put one of the glass shelves in the groove over the vegetable drawer. You don't necessarily have to use the drawer for vegetables - anything that doesn't fit standing up you can put on laying on their side.

No thanks .........we we prefer to leave liquid containers standing upright .

We know from experience that its not a good idea to leave open milk cartons / orange juice cartons etc on their side . ( yes we normally store these on the door upright ) :)

I wasn't talking about open containers. Anyway I'm sure you'll get the hang of it in time. :)

Yes , I think we have the hang of it now .............all the cans of Budweiser are now gone , so they won't be falling over again until next weekend . :)

Would have preferred a bottom tray thats flat though , but we did'nt notice this when in the store .

    Otherwise we are happy .
