Have a look at the iphone App, (Presence by people power) have been using it for a few days. If you've an old iphone or ipad that your not using it's worth giving it a try.

If you have an Android, AirDroid can do this and more. Great app

Thanks, I was looking for something like this recently that was capable of two way communication. The phrase "GO TO SLEEP RIGHT NOW!" is about to come into it's own in my house.

I found the remote camera viewing of AirDroid to be pretty cr@p, very low frame rates. I just use Skype to log in and view my webcam remotely, you can just leave the audio running and my mic is so sensitive you can hear if the cat walks into the room!

Thank you for informing us about the app, however wrong section and is certainly not a bargain alert.

Well It led me to airdroid which is a bargain compared to an IP.can. I was looking at an IP cam to monitor my oil tank for rolling stones of the kind that gather no moss but have a penchant for copper and kerosene.

    Great stuff OP thanks.

I tried this out but video quality wasnt that great when setting up the camera phone (iPhone 4) on a 3 meg DSL line and connecting to it via a 4 meg 3G connection. Wonder if the quality is determined by bandwidth available or set to a standard quality?

Is it possible to use this on windows and iOS?
I haven't gotten around to it yet but if I were to leave the ipad at home could I keep an eye on the house from work using the PC or do I need another ios device??
