Has anyone ever travelled for cheaper dentistry?

    Hi Guys,

I haven't been to the dentist in years and its purely for financial reasons. As a result I desperately need to see a dentist and was wondering has anyone ever travelled for cheaper dentistry. I think I need to do alot of work and would prefer to just go all out and get everything perfect. My teeth have become a little crooked and are in need of whitening. Just tonight a part of my back tooth came out (while chewing on a haribo). I'm only 25 and freaking out. I have heard of people getting porcelain teeth and the results look great.

Has anyone on here ever gone down the porcelain root? How much does it cost? Had anyone ever travelled and have they noticed much of a saving? I'm just finishing college so should have a job in the next few months. First few pay cheques will hopefully fix this big problem. Would appreciate any advice? Why is something so necessary so bleeding expensive!:(

Yes lots of people have travelled abroad for cheap dentistry. From the many cases I've seen- they get what they pay for, cheap over treatment in the short term (that looks terrible) but the real sting is the long term consequences of the cheap, ill fitting uncleansable prosthesis that fail catastrophically taking the supporting teeth with them.

There are lots of threads here on this...

    Best advice, don't...
