    Whats the consensus on these ? Im looking at possibly buying one of these. Can anyone give any info on what to watch out for . expected mpg. What are they like to drive in comparison to the saloon etc ?

    brilliant car: gearbox goes if they are chipped (sooo much lovely torque) loot for good service history and check all the normal stuff

    buy from an enthuisast who looked after it and rember you'l be married to it so don't pay over the odds

    love those cars; fast estate cars are the best

    make sure you get m sport,looks whole lot better.also get all the toys.
    leather,climate ,cruise control.
    they are not easy car to sell,so take your time,find car and bargain down
    make sure swirl flaps are removed
    change auto transmision oil (300e)
    check for faded pixels on screens.cost 150 to fix

    other than that extremely well build car.i own 525i for 2 weeks now.and absolutely delighted with it

    3.0 tax is killer
