It would be a big help if you could stick up photos of the side and front views.

Mudguards look a little like home made versions from the rear IMO

Here are more photos of the tractor. I Want to know the name of the cab because I want to order the same window. This is a window that closes in and out.not like a q cab windows that fold at halfway on a 7600. Thanks in advance for your comments.

It's a standard Q cab alright. By the looks of it the back window isn't original. To the best of my knowledge they were all factory fitted with the 2 part back window, but a lot of them were replaced over the years because they were prone to getting broken if they weren't opened and folded properly.

So your saying it is not the original window but when tell the crowd that sell these things they say is it super q or wide q. Can these windows be bought and where. I hate the windows that fold half way because there is too much weight on the top section to hold up. I want a window like that that goes in and out the simple way. Does anyone know a website for this window and could give me the proper name of it thanks in advance

If I remember correctly the proper name is a "World Wide Q cab", the super Q cab replaced it and had a different roof. Your best bet would be to measure the window you want and get somebody to make it up for you. I doubt very much you'll get one through an official New Holland dealer.

Be careful. That is not a "world wide cab". That is a Q cab butchered by Basildon for the Ford 4600. The "world wide cab" would be this:
    1039__3.jpg

The cab was designed in the US, and note the support bar below the rear window.

When Ford Tractors UK brought the cab in it was discovered this bar fouled some implements, so they got out the angle grinder, and we got a Q cab. The original q cab also didn't have the flat floor of the "world wide cab" except for the 7700 and 6700.

    10_09_CABS.JPG

Note the difference below the back windows. From what I can see this trend continued into the 10 series with 7610's right up to Gen III getting the cut version of the cab, but most late 7810s getting the "uncut" version.

The qcab we are looking at here is completely as it left the factory. It has different mudgaurds to the normal q cab, and a different glass. It is a unique back window to the 3 cylinder, and the q cab on the 4600 is completely different to the one in the 5600 and upwards. with the entire floor and seating position moved forwards by half a foot or more.

There should be a bit of fiberglass hinged onto the back window you have, and a perspex "glass" in the lower window.

Finally the back window in the 4600 q cab is impossible to stop breaking. I would suggest getting some good quality perspex in B&Q and cutting to fit. I have been there and done that!!

Does it discolour with the uv light
How long have you it up. Does it work well. Is it expensive

Glass window lasted a week. I was just closing the latch one night and it shattered. Perspex since 1999! It is gone yellow now though, and it is a while. Id say it was good for maybe three years.

B&Q sell it for about €50 last time I saw it. It is something I must get around to replacing.

Do you think it is the best thing to do.I don't want to buy glass that would break like that. Is there any way of protecting it from uv. Like putting a layer of plastic to cover it

I don't really know. It is a bad design though with a flimsey frame and the latches and stabilisers just bolting onto the glass.

Your photo is of the 3cyl version of the original Ford WWQC adapted to fit the Smaller 3 cylinder models such as the 3600 4100 4600.

To complicate matters there was an early version of the rear window which had 8 Holes and a later version which had 4 holes and there was clear and tinted glass available for both.

Here is a link to a Glass Catalogue which illustrates all the glass used on that cab which might help

It is plexiglass that you need instead of perspex. It is supposed to be UV resistant (on one side) and shouldn't discolour with the sun. ;) Also a little bit more of a give in it
