    Hi guys

I am looking into doing archaeology and will be going into stage 2.

Are there any modules you would recommend or suggest avoiding in stage 2 and 3?

    Combat Archaeology looks fun.

I did the Archaeology of the Medieval Castle last year which was pretty good. You do have to do a report on a castle, but if you make a point of visiting a castle during Mid-term you're grand. Take loads of pics so you can refer back. Written exam at the end of year too.

Only thing I'd tell you is make sure you take notes as the slides are only posted from time to time and when they are sometimes the image is chopped up.

I'm trying to study for that very exam at the moment. God I think I'm fecked for it. Soo much stuff to get your head around. But then that is the way with archaeology!

I thought the same but he is a good marker. Try learn about the architecture of the castles - how you can tell what the inner layout is from only looking at the outside. Another one is what castles represent - power and how its displayed.. Prep a style of castle ie, tower, round, prominent builders and where they got the idea from or how it was developed.
I BS'ed my way through it and got a B in it. You'll be grand.
