Teaching abroad

Hi all. I have 4 years teaching experience, one of which is in the Uk. Have been lucky to get work here each year in different schools each time but am looking to get away for a while. Do people reckon that the Middle East is the best place to do this? Would love the idea of saving some money. I would have the hubbie to be coming also.

It depends on your definition of "best", really.

Yes, there is significant demand for teachers here in the Middle East. It is not the place to be out of a job, though, so it would be important that your husband could line up a job also.

What field does he work in?

Thanks for reply Tom. He has several years of customer service experience and is the manager of his section in his current job. He also just got a legal diploma. Not sure if he would get work. Are you a teacher yourself? A lot of places seem to put you and a spouse up in an apartment.

I'm lecturing at third level, but I have a lot of friends who are primary and secondary school teachers.

Your husband might find it difficult to find work, to be honest. It is hard to know.

Thanks. He is now looking into Teaching English as he has two years doing this already. Might there be better hope for him then? Do you enjoy the lifestyle over there?
