Emergency tax ?

    My hubby started a new job Monday week so handed p45 in & is working a back week, yet he got paid yesterday but got emergency taxed ? He's not in again until 2nite ....any1 any ideas?

    Some HR places can be a bit slow. Get him to ask for the employers tax number and he can ring the tax man himself and get it done quickly.

    I've never waited for HR to process tax. I've always got the details and called them over to Revenue myself. They will then send you and the employer a 12A whch gives details of the tax credits. Quick and easy - Revenue are one of the few Govt departments which are actually efficient!!
