Well, here it is ...the whole lot... (minus three pieces that are at the watchmakers and one that is on pre-order). Depending on whether you insist on counting a pocket watch and a stopwatch the total is either 39 or 41 :D

Pictures aren't great, but in poor light it is kinda impossible to photograph spreads of watches with different dial colours sitting at different heights and get them all to look sharp and their best ...but you'll get the picture :D:D:D

    Vostok Amphibias (and one Komandirskie)

Chronographs (except for the Seiko all Poljot powered)

Actually, this might be a good time to be posting this ...because I feel that I'm kinda done with watches, at least for a while.

The "need" to buy anything that catches my eye has certainly diminished. Even when something new does interest me, a quick mental check of what I've already got quickly leads to the conclusion that I've got something pretty similar already and that it's not "new" enough to justify doubling up (Amphibias are obviously exempt from that rationale :D)

    Certain watches I won't do ...
Most vintage watches are just too small (thankfully ..or I'd have hundreds of them) to be wearable for me.
There would be room for a few dress watches ...but I'm not a dressy kind of guy so I'd never wear them.
    Quartz watches ...no, just no.
And then there would be watches that cost real money. Well, they're also out. So far I haven't exceeded my personal threshold of 300 Euro and I have no plans for doing so in the future. Yes, I'm stingy ...but I also could not bring myself to wear a watch that cost big money for fear of damaging it ...so what's the point in having one?

I could start selling some of my watches ...but the few that I could possibly part with cost next to nothing in the first place and are worth even less now ...so no point in doing that either.

As I am somewhat particular in my tastes, the amount of affordable watches that still carry the "I want / I need" factor is getting pretty small these days. I won't rule out buying a few more in the future, but certainly not at the rate I have been doing over the last two and a half years.

    EDIT

hmmppf ...I just noticed that I forgot the Vostok Radio Room ...(that's what happens when you don't wear them)

I'm rather partial to the minutes being on the outside with this watch.

Brand and type..? Is there a term for that type of layout?

    That's a Raketa "Pilot" 24h watch.

In this case the minutes are outside so that the shorter hour hand can clearly point to all of the 24 hours while still being readable.

I'm not sure if this concept exists with normal 12h watches and if it has a name.

I make that 38...I think you should scratch that OCD itch and buy 2 more to make 40

Many thanks for the pics....some lovely ones in there, always like that blue and Grey Chrono Okeah on Mesh...

I've almost pulled the trigger on at least 4 of those watches in the past year or two. Lovely collection P.

Not a lot ...and not a lot to be honest :D

Seems to be very russianised version of this one http://www.meranom.com/vostok/retro/vostok-watch-retro-2415-550946.html , wouldn't be my taste.

I also think they're a tad expensive, I've seen the "Retro / K43" version a good bit cheaper.

Wow great collection! I had lots and lots of Russian watches at one stage but I sold them as a lot a few years ago. It's interesting that you like the newer Russian ones too (I only had pre 1956 ones...).
