I received a letter from SUSI today instructing me to renew my grant for the coming year. It lists two options; continuing with same course or starting a new course.

I have just finished first year and I intend to transfer into second year of a similar course in another college in September. I am not sure how to proceed as I am neither continuing my current course nor starting a new course from the start.

Also, I will not know whether or not I have been accepted into the new course until August, and, if not, I will be continuing my current course. If my transfer is successful, I will require the non-adjacent rate, as opposed to the adjacent rate I am currently receiving.

I would like to know what is the best course of action, as I do not want to leave myself with no grant at all in September.
    Any information would be appreciated.

The best thing to do is ring the susi helpdesk and ask them

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
