Remarkable performance for this USD130k car (US price). A Ferrari 458 (twice the price) and a Lexus LFA (three times the price) are slower

Isn't Nissan GT-R is a little cheaper and a little quicker though?

Neither are independent tests. Say no more ;)

And indeed, BostonB, the Nissan GT-R is nearly up there too and costs only $100k (US Price). Staggering performance for the money!

You're right. Here's the original top gear article. No mention who carried out the test, presumably Porsche themselves. At least they have a history of using original spec cars on the ring and not lying about it like some other makes :p

I betya any independent test will put it ahead of any independent test of either GT-R, 458 or LFA though. Only time will tell :D

betcha it won't! and I'd be fairly sure a v-spec GTR would kill all of 'em :P

Last video I watched on an independent test, the GTR was beaten by a 911 Turbo, not a GT3, so I'd assume a GT3 would be quicker again on a track.
Do Nissan still only allow you 2 full blown standing starts before you loose warranty on the gearbox? I'd pay the extra 50% for the Porsche if it meant I could abuse it constantly!
By all accounts though, the 458 is where it's at for sheer driving entertainment.
