Massey 4355 problem

I have a massey 4355 which has the 18x6 speedshift gearbox. When the high range is engaged by pressing the button on the gear lever the power is lost like the clutch slipping but it is alright when in the slower range. Just wondering did anyone ever come across this and is it goin to be an expensive repair job. Thanks
