    Hi,

I'm trying to get payment from a UK based cash back site. One of the options is via a bacs transfer, which just asks for the bank sort code, account number and account name. Is this all the info. needed for a typical transfer from the uk or would I need to use an IBAN rather that the normal bank account number?

    Thanks

    Hi thomas01,

    Thanks for posting.

If you are receiving money into your Bank of Ireland account from an account in the UK you will need your BIC and IBAN details which can be found here.  However some companies may transfer the money differently, it would be best to contact the company directly to confirm what details they require.

    Thanks

    Seán

BACS is the company which runs the UK clearing system and is for UK payments only.

When is the money (including lost growth) Michael Noonan took in the Pension Levy going to be paid back?
