    Hey,

Im looking at buying a 2.0 Golf - Around 07/08. I want one with the GT grill. If I were to buy one with a normal grill would it be possible/expensive to have it replaced with the correct grill? Assuming its done in a decent bodyshop?

I can only seem to find ones that I like in the 3 door but I want a 5 door.

Just had a quick look, and there are 14 5 door 2.0 TDI GT Golfs on Carzone between 07 and 08

    Most of them are 1.9

The GT has a different grill, and I'm pretty sure it has a different bumper to. It's not just the case of buying a badge off eBay.

It can be done, but I don't know why you'd want to, and it won't be cheap.

Yes the bumper and grill is different, I know its to be done at a garage and not just buy a sticket/badge.

The title of this thread is a bit misleading. I thought it was about buying a car that was in need of repair.

Just googled sleeper. What Im trying to do is not the opposite of a sleeper. Im getting a car with the same engine as the one with the bumper I want.

Im not putting it on a 1.9 or a 1.4
