Contact lenses for a 20hr day

    hey,
    ive been wearing contacts for years since i was about 18 and never worn them much, just for when i go out really.

    i'm getting married in 2 months and obviously will be wearing them that day. the thing is ive gotten better contacts the last 2 months and been trying to build myself up wearing them for long periods but they are still irritating me.

    does anyone have any advice or tips on how i can manage wearing them for about a 20 hour day? would changing them during the evening work or maybe even eye drops stop the irritation??

    What contact lenses are you currently using? The best contacts for wearing for a long period of time are silicone hydrogel material (best for the health of your eyes and for dryness). How long can you wear your current lenses before they start to irritate you?

    i can wear them up to 4 hours before they start to irriate me. i'm currently using the johnson and johnson lenses for stigmatism.

    Ciba dailies toric and j&j daily toric are pretty much on a par. For something different you could try Sauflon clarity one day toric silicone hydrogel. Newish product on the market.
    You could also considerations silicone monthly as suggested.
    Personally i'm a big fan of the proclear material and torics.
    You could maybe get away with a spherical lens just for the one day.
    Your optician should have several suggestions for you.
