Have you tried reseating the graphics card?
Is there another power connector you could try plugging into the gfx card? Maybe check your box of bits for a connector converter from molex to 6pin. (bit of digging suggests that the adapter takes 2 molex (4pin in a line) to convert to the 6pin)

Try putting the gfx card in the 1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 slot?

I'm no expert but hopefully it helps somewhat.

Thanks for you suggestions, I haven't tried re-seating the graphics card as it had been working flawlessly up until this point, but I will give all your suggestions a go and report back.

    Other solutions I've come across.
Try with only one stick of ram and swap, checking each.
Insert your windows 7/8 disk and run repair.
Make sure all your connections are in correctly.
Try resetting the bios by removing the CMOS battery or using the switch if there is one.
Try disabling onboard graphics in the bios menu.
Check the motherboard to see if there is any damaged or disfigured capacitors.

Sound very much like a PSU issue, are you overclocking at all?

Also check the gpu fan is spining just on the off chance its over-heating.

With a boot loop you can't really rule out much initially including the motherboard itself, and shorting/static buildup by the case.

I would do everything that Xenoronin except I would go further and suggest breadboarding as well (remove it from the case entirely and boot with just the motherboard and minimal amount of components on an insulated surface)

GPU fans are spinning fine. Monitored temps and they are fine.

I will try each of the suggestions above, thanks.

Ok folks, quick update...came home from work...turned the machine on and it's been working perfectly so far, it has been on the last hour or more. These intermitent problems are so annoying!
