looks like the conditions are going to be very tough as its blowing pretty hard down there with rain and wind on the forecast for the weekend, I'm thinking of heading down tomorrow to watch as its only down the road and I'm off work:)

Would be interesting to see how top players like that handle tricky conditions. Would be a few tips to be picked up I'd say

Was playing St. Annes yesterday in similar. Very hard. 3- 4 clubs extra ,was 10 shots over my normal score. I know the lads are at an amazing level . But anything under 75, will be an amazing score.

Lads is there a time sheet. What time would it start on each day ?

Sorry lads got it GUI site.

I see Alan Lowry from Esker Hills is down to play. Is he a brother of Shanes?

Not as bad out as weather was predicted.

Great scores of -2 after 9 Pat Murray.
    A good few at -1 after 9.

    Scores on Gui site.

    Im heading down after lunch.

Front 9 playing straight downwind, scoring home will be tough unless the tees are moved up on the back 9.

    Not playing this year gorfield?

No, after last year i decided never to cross the bridge again. Golf course is not for me so no point in going if i know i wont enjoy it.

Thats very interesting gorfield. I play the course often (not a member), what is it that doesnt suit your eye?

Tees are forward on all holes. Common sense i think has prevailed as the weather during the practice rounds was horrendous.

Far more enjoyable for spectators also to be watching birdies/pars rather than double and treble bogeys.

just back home from there, lowest score in was 69 highest was an 85, the back 9 is playing tough as Gorfield stated its into the wind mostly

great 2 days of golf down in Royal Dublin. First time on course. I think without the wind I would love to play it. Some of these lads would be in the mid 60 s on a still day.

A great course to watch golf as so flat with greens and tees in full view. The green complexes are stunning.

Followed a couple of fine players from The Island P. McBride and G Moynihan. Also young K Le Blanc going well. Well use to the wind out there.

+1 for leaders great going over 2 hard days of golf.

So great to see the level they are at and see how young most are. It is sometimes easy to forget that they are just amateurs.

3 Man playoff. 3 hole aggregate.

    Anybodies in conditions down there.

Moynihan has a chance to be a double winner.

    Fairplay Robbie Cannon!

Level with Robertson after 3 hole playoff, but wins in sudden death 18th.

Could be you next year Ricky, if you can just tighten up your short game.
