Behcets Disease

    Hi all!

I have recently been diagnosed with Behcets Disease and I was hoping to find some other people to talk to about it. It seems to be a pretty rare disease and I'm not sure what the statistics are like in Ireland. I do know that it's difficult for people to understand exactly what's happening to me - it's hard enough for me!
I've had to leave my job and I can't really go anywhere or do anything. I'll be lucky to be stable by Christmas. I was first hospitalised in December and I know I can end up back there at any time for any length.

Really would love to find others to share with, I'm guessing I'm not the only one who finds it a lonely disease and I know it's very difficult to fight off the depression that comes with it. Even when the thought it was a simpler form of IBD that was scary enough.

    Thanks for reading :pac:
