Help!? Don't understand my pay slip....

    So started my new job & got my pay slip last night, through email. I don't understand it at all. I understand some of the terms eg. Gross pay, total deds etc.

    I typed out the following below...don't understand all of it fully...could someone explain it to me? I'm too embarressed to ask in work :o its my 1st proper pay slip

    Description. T/N. Hours. Value. Description. This period. Balance.
    Basic T 12.00hrs €102.00 PAYE €0.00 €0.00
    SundayPrem T 3.50hrs €10.59 PRSI €0.00 €0.00
    USC €7.88 €7.88

    I'd appreicate any help...

    Basic T 12.00 - This is your basic rate per hour
    SundayPrem - the extra you get for working Sundays

    PAYE this is the amount of 'tax' you get paid - Pay As Your Earn
    PRSI - Pay related social insurance - the tax you pay towards social things like the dole, pensions etc.

    USC - universal social charge
