Bite changing

I've noticed in the last week or two that my bite appears to have changed quite a lot. I never had any issues with it before, but since I had a molar removed and had to start wearing a split due to grinding, my bottom teeth are now to the right of my upper teeth. It's starting to irritate me when I chew. How bad is this…
