The IFA heads have been more queit about the eagles in recent years, since there's obviously been no problem with them in the last 8 or so years, but the lower down guys tend to keep saying stupid things - like the Kerry head there, and the head of Hill Sheep section has said some ignorant comments before too. Overall I think the attitudes by farmers in the area have improved since the eagles arrived (though they could only get better..), but there'll always be a few idiots that will be saying stuff like this due to either sheer ignornace (despite evidence), or because they're trying to get some compensation money!

Great news indeed though, and hopefully the project will go from strength to strength.

Yeah really is great news, nice to see a re-introduction/conservation project paying off, especially on our own door step.

Absolutely. So much work has been put into this project; it's great to see that it may finally be paying off.
