    I recently updated my golf buddy world platinum and now it keeps freezing on the screen where the blue line goes up at the bottom . The line gets almost to the end then freezes and nothing happens !!!
    When I try to hook it back up to the " Find my Buddy" . It can't find it .
    Can anyone please HELP . The weekend is fast approaching !! Cheers

    Yeah contacted golf buddy , they really weren't much help . Suggested sending to them and charge me £120 approx to try and fix !!

    Interesting. I had the same response originally. I was willing to pay though as I'd broken it myself out of my own carelessness.

    Once I sent them a photo & serial number and they discovered it was a Platinum Model, they replied telling me they would replace it free of charge. They sent me a returns label to ship the broken one back and I got a brand new one in return.

    I made sure they knew it was a platinum but it didn't seem to make a difference . I stressed to them that it must be a fault with their firmware as it worked perfectly fine before hand !!
    Loosing faith in golf buddy . Thought they were better at customer service ..

    You could try an emergency reboot, might fix it. I think this is how you do it but not 100% sure.

    Disconnect the unit from any external devices (don't have it connected through USB to anything).

    Hold the power button until it turns off (few seconds).

    Press the power and menu buttons at the same time and wait for the device to start booting.

    Leave for a few minutes, say a decade of the rosary, and then check if it's fixed.

    Please note the rosary is optional.

    The same thing happened mine and whe i did an emergency reset it came up factory mode on and will not do anything now. I had bought it online from the states and it only has a 3month warranty on it so not covered. does anyone know where they can be fixed in ireland

    OP - bring it back to where you bought it. Get them to ring the rep and explain to them that it's not working. If it's under warranty the rep will give you a new one or they'll send it back. You shouldn't have to play.

    i bought mine online from america and am getting no joy from golf buddy global support. You only get a 3month warranty in the states and 2 years in europe. i just want to get it fixed even if it does cost me. though it all came about from a course update from there site so they should stand over it in my opinion

    That's very different to the experience I had, I also bought mine from the states and after about 3 years the GB manager on my PC wouldn't recognise and sync with the device, I got on to GB global who said to post it over and they would fix it.
    I obviously had to pay the postage over, but I thought they would pay the return post, but they didn't and I didn't mind too much as I got my GB back and in full working order.
    It cost about €10 to post it over to the states and about to $30 to get them to sent it back, anyway the problem was very simple, it turned out to be the SD card.
    Btw my unit is a GB world platinum.
