Would it be hard to "make" a door frame to fit a set of doors?

I say make; I don't mean hand make...I mean get some materials from Chadwicks or that and make up a frame to suit a set of doors (buying secondhand)...or would it be cheaper just to buy the whole lot together?

    thanks

Double doors ? You'll need 2 lengths, prob 5" x 2" PAO ( planed finish ). Cheap as chips. Not difficult if you're handy.
