    Buy a wireless router.

You don't need a router just a wireless access point.

presuming it's an ethernet patch up to your room, a wireless access point will do the job. you may also have the option of a wireless homeplug set up. a wireless ap may be cheaper though

this may also be an idea - a wireless extender (wifi repeater) for about 30euro.
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Huawei-WS320-Wi-Fi-Repeater/dp/B007SU0BJU/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1367937900&sr=8-2&keywords=wireless+extender

With it you would have the same network address for all the house rather than a separate network for the top floor which would only be used once your device has zero reception to the main router and leaves you connectionless for an unpredictable period every time you go upstairs.

You'd may need to install it on the middle floor to ensure connectivity to the base although if your sketch reception is only with mobile devices then the repeater may be better able to get a signal but then provide you with a stronger usable one.
