    Hi,

I have a Ferguson Ariva 120 which I have had working for around a year now. It had been working fine until recently when I notice some channels were gone. The food channel (network) and Channel 4, Film 4 and I think a few others are gone from my favourites list. I done a scan of astra 28.2 again and saved it and they are still gone. In place of the food network now is one of these channels with the half naked lady on the phone which is odd.

Any ideas of tips to get them back.

delete the old channels first, then rescan. That may help

Take a look at the end of your channel list, they may be duplicated there.

would you recommend this digital box? Do you need a aerial on the roof to work this? I want to get freeview/saorview upstairs.

Its an old model that has been replaced by the Ariva 150. You need an aerial to receive Saorview and a satellite dish to get the UK freesat channels.

As Tony says and also you do not necessarily need an aerial on the roof - depends on your location - rabbits ears work as does just lying and aerial between some rafters in the attic

Pick up free what on aerial?

With an aerial you can pick up Irish TV stations
