    Hi,

I am looking for a good, efficient Brazilian wax in Galway city. Am new to the area. Have had it done plenty of times before in Brazilia in Dublin with hot wax....pointless using any other method!

    Suggestions needed quickly!

    Thanks!

    Heaven Scent are brilliant.

    Defo recommend them.

I moved to Dublin and I still go back down to them for my waxing.

Why are you being racist? Are you suggesting that other waxings like Romanian or Polish or Swedish are bad for ya? Why Brazilian, why?

So is Hollywood. But no one would do it, being biased about cultures and all that stuff!

Jk, Twee... It's all good. ;)

don't know if this thread is still active, but i had a look on here trying to get recommendations for a brazilian wax in galway having just moved here. maybe i was spoiled and used to getting waxed in waxperts in dun laoighre who are amazing, but i tried heaven scent and while the girl was lovely, it was not a brazilian wax that she gave me, a tight bikini wax at best. sorry if tmi but she didn;t go near the back at all, which is what a brazilian is. I was too embarrassed to ask her, silly i know, i just paid the €50 for a half leg and brazilian wax and left. Anyone any experience of a REAL brazilian wax in galway? process is embarrassing enough without having to ask them to do the back as well as the front IMO!

Seems very silly to me that you didn't ask her.

It's not that embarrassing. You have to remember they are doing it day in and day out. You don't have something they haven't seen before.

you're not a moron! same thing happened me and I didn't feel comfortable sayin "sorry love ya wouldn't do me arsehole as well would ya?!" that should be implied in the name "Brazilian". really pisses me off, shouldn't be calling it that if they're not willing to do the lot.

I had to come back and post on here, as I have been on loads of times looking for recommendations for a REAL brazilian wax in Galway. after trying loads of places i finally tried Uptown Girl on eglington st., someone recommended it and when I checked the website it said that Amanda, who runs it, has a diploma in specialised waxing, which was encouraging. have to say amanda is brilliant, she is there on her own and i got a brazilian and 1/2 leg for €55. it was as painless as it can be, she us so professional and chatty that she makes it as easy as it can be. i put off going into Uptown Girl initially out of a bit of snobbery, to be honest, she is upstairs above the cellar bar and when i went in first i have to say i was a bit freaked, its very small with one treatment room. but she is miles better than a lot of fancy salons that claim to do brazilians, and really just do extended bikini wax. would highly recommend her for any kind of specialised wax, she does do other beauty services as well, but i've only tried the waxing so far

My search is finally over, living in galway for years and have been to almost all salons offering brazilian waxing...and have never been completly satisfied. Until today after reading millivanili review above. I got a lucky appointment with AManda at uptown girl, she is fab and her waxing is impeccable and as a brazilian is supposed to be.

In the future I will only be going to uptown girl.
