Pee plant

The garden is starting to look great, with all the flowers coming up with the bit of sun. There's only one dark spot marring my flowerbed; the hellebore that got nominated as the Pee Plant by the dogs. My pair, and all visiting hounds, insist on 'watering' it and I'm fairly sure that it's dead; burned and trampled. I tried to water it every evening to dilute the wee, but I fear that simply wasn't enough.

Can anyone suggest a plant which is robust enough to handle the position of pee plant? Flowers a bonus, though interesting foliage will do, max height of about 18"
