Need to replace the Brake pads on the front of my 2005 Audi A6 2.0 Tdi.

I was wondering had anyone used Bosch pads or have any recommendations?

I've not used Bosch but find Blueprint and Delphi good pads. I'm sure others have other favourites.

Whatever the OE pads are i would go with them,or just buy them from Audi.

I've had some awful spurious pads on cars over the years even from good names like Mintex. My S3 has mintex pads fitted up front by the previous owner and the are a pain in the hole.

Not sure if the A6 has pad wear sensors but if it does then make sure to replace them too. They maybe a separate part number like on BMWs.

Be careful not to order the wrong pads.
I know a4's have different size pads.
Get the engine code off the sticker in the spare tyre well in the boot.

Thanks Bazz26 only the front pads have the sensors and are included in the Bosch pads I was looking at.

I was going to just order from mister-auto.ie and they only have bolk? bosch or TRW.

@biko where do you get the Blueprint or Delphi pads?

Be aware that mister auto won't deliver in 48 hours as the website appears to state. They will take best part of a week.
I got original brand pads for my A5 from mister auto at a great price. Stick with oe would be my advice.

I think you can get them from mickgarage. I buy online from wherever is cheapest, usually ebay.
A lot of the fastfit places use Delphi but ask before you buy.

Good man, you have obliviously done your homework so.
Personally, I'd have no problem with the TRW or Bosch ones for normal usage.
