Rasberry Pi - Is the OS on the sd card?

    Hi, quick question.

If I were to buy a raspberry pi and two SD cards, could I have basically two different systems?

System one would be purely work, all documents etc.
Then when I want to do my own thing, I would switch the sd card to the personal system, which has my own stuff on it.

    Does it work like that?

    Cheers
