Cycling Shorts sizing

Okay, I just bought 2 pairs (different makes) of cycling shorts.
Both fit fine except the silicone grippers at the end of the leg are too loose and are not gripping my leg.
In other words the bottom of my thighs just above the knee are too skinny for the shorts but they fit fine everywhere else.
Should I be looking for extra small somewhere or should I just soldier on, beast it up and do about 300km a day and hope my thighs get bigger?

It's a bit embarrassing being too skinny for small cycling shorts so I'd appreciate some advice on this!

have you tried the next size down? shorts are suppose to be very tight you know relative to how a normal pair of shorts will feel.

Sorry should have said, there is no size down in the models I bought and I didn't see any XS in the shop either.

well if I was you then Id be trying out the xs and seeing is that the size for me, and then once you have found your best size fit, then go looking at different brands then.

I'm honoured for the advice oh great one, I must apologize I only last week discovered that you are the sites very own fashion guru, they are black and are not ASSOS  , Is this acceptable and will I really grow into them or are you just pulling the proverbial? :)

I'd definitely stick with cycling ..... sounds like you have the ideal build! The rest of us are just jealous!
If you cycle regularly your legs will increase in diameter but in the meantime my best advice would be to go to the bike shop with the biggest selection of shorts and try on until you get the best fit! Cycle Superstore in Tallaght would probably be best in the Dublin area!
