Im looking to get my hands on a canyon bike, specifically a Canyon Ultimate CF 9.0 but I have never seen them retail anywhere in any bike shop. Are they only exclusively retailed online?

The reason I am wondering is I would be looking to purchase it through the bike to work scheme and I think Internet purchases are exempt from the scheme.

Anyone know of any bike shop that in the country that supplies them?

    Many Thanks

Internet purchases are permitted in the scheme but your employer might impose their own restrictions.

Canyon only sell directly, over the web.

There's no rule against online purchases for the BTW scheme.

As Raam said, it's up to your employer. Some will buy anywhere, some will only buy from certain shops, others won't let you do it at all.

If the HSE are using one of those restrictive intermediaries then perhaps you could contact that middle man and ask them to allow purchases from Canyon.

Its not a bad idea. I was also thinking if they are being picky about internet retailers that I could approach my local bike shop, with whom I have a good relationship and ask them to order the bike for me for a commission of course and get receipt from them. Possibly could work.

Should work ... except for warranty. If your shop guy buys the bike, he is the reg. owner in Canyon's eyes. The warranty is only valid if it goes through him - and I guess, he will need to charge you

Umm, didn't consider the warranty issue.. Now I just have to decide if it`s worth the risk. I know him well but the big question is if I trust him. Also, it could be a major pain in his arse, if there is a problem with the bike to go contacting canyon and reorganising shipping ect.... He might just not be bothered. will have to think about this one.
