Passat DPF - when were they introduced?

Can anyone tell me when dpf's were fitted to 2005+ passats? Also, were they fitted to both 1.9 and 2.0 litres?

I think they were only fitted to the 2.0 TDi PD and 1.6/2.0 TDi CR engines. Don't think the 1.9 TDi in that Passat ever had a DPF.

I think there was a bluemotion 1.9 that had one, might be wrong.

Not all the 2.0TDI PD engines had a DPF, it was mainly the 170bhp versions. It is easy to tell whether a specific car has one anyway as the DPF has its own warning light that comes on with the rest of the ignition lights:
