Rent allowance cut while on holidays?

    I'm panicked here and hoping someone can help advise me? The wait til Tuesday to get down to welfare for an answer seems like forever and I'm really nervous

    I've just found out my rent allowance has been stopped. I'd booked a weeks holidays because I was doing exams for my springboard degree course and wouldn't have been able to make it up for sign on.

    I didn't get any notice or any payment on the usual Thursday before my rent was due, so my rents been paid (by the usual standing order) but now my account is overdrawn.

    Any advice or knowledge would be greatly appreciated
