Cannot tune saorsat channels on new et4000

Currently have an Inverto KA Band Lnb mounted on my t90 for the last year and receiving saorsat no problem on my et9000 (one feed to each tuner) using the following tp config:

    system: dvb-s2
    freq: 10765
    SR; 25000
Polarisation: circular left (normally circular right but on t90 its reversed)
    FEC: 1/2
    Modulation: QPSK

Got a new et4000 stb and decided to move one of the feeds to this box, but for some reason I keep getting tuner fail! Used both a downloaded channel list retrieved from et9000, as well as trying to do a single tp manual tune.

Using a 4 way emp disecq switch connected to 28e/19e/13e/5w (9e replaced 5w), so no problems with tuner. Bypassed diseqc and connected lnb directly to stb, still no luck.
Connected et4000 to working feed from et9000 and reconfigured exactly the same, but still no luck.

The et4000 is a relatively new stb and has the following chipset/tuner (as reported in OpenVIX).

    Chipset: BCM7358
    NIM: BCM7346(internal)(DVB-S2)

Have recent build of OpenVIX flashed to stb, but did try an original xtrend image (xtrend beta6) which is not an oe-alliance based image.

Could there be a problem with stb/tuner/drivers?, or am I missing something obvious?

    Any comments/suggestions.

    WW

    Just an update on this:
I found a copy of the original image on a german site that shipped on this stb, flashed it, and can pull in saorsat no problems.
Logged in using putty, and can see Image is using a 3.4.3 kernel but does not look like an enigma2 image - no directory /etc/enigma2, but it has /etc/istb!
So looks like issue is image related!

Another thing to note polarisation might be best input as horizontal (vertical for nonT90 users) as in the USA left hand circular and right hand circular are the opposite voltages as used in Europe. So best to not use the circular settings and stick to horizontal and vertical.

Yep, understood that CirLeft was equivalent to Horizontal and CirRight the same as Vertical, and they supplied the correct voltage.
Did try all polarisation options just in case, but still no go.
Problem is definitely down to image. For some reason all the OE images use a 3.6.0 kernel with the appropriate drivers.
The 2 images that I found that had a 3.4.3 kernel with the corresponding drivers worked no problem.
Trying to work out if tuner is controlled exclusively in drivers ie: dvb.ko or is it a mixture of image build options....
So basically an xtrend et4000 will not pull in the saorsat tp using the current selection of images.

    Hi,

I don't know if this is any help, but I have similar experience on my et4000.
Its connected to two LNB's. I can scan the first one, but it can hardly find any services on the second LNB.

By accident, (toying around in the SatFinder extension) I found that adding one to all frequencies in satellites.xml fixed the problem. Now the et4000 can find all my regular channels.

    Hope it helps,

    Forgot to update this thread.
problem was fixed! when I updated to an image with newer 3.8.7 kernel and associated drivers.
Could tune in Saorsat no problems after that
