Dog Sh*t Everywhere

What is it with people and their dogs. I would love to go for a walk in the street of my town, but no I cant, because people with dogs go for the same walks and let their dog **** everywhere on the paths, I am avoiding it when I am walking and end with it all over the wheels of the buggy.
It is really not fair that people are inflicted with dog **** on paths everywhere in towns. I have seen people out walking these mutts and let them **** anywhere on the path, then just walk on and leave it there, like its going to magically disappear.
I thought there was some sort of litter law against this. There has to be some law against it, it I went out and emptied a bag of rubbish on the path, all in sundry would be up in arms about it.
Do we have to put up with people that own dogs, doing what they when they are out in public?

Way to tar all dog owners with one brush.

SOME dog owners couldn't give a damn, plenty do.

yes i knew i would rub all the dog owners up the wrong way with this thread, but to be honest, I never seen anyone clean up **** from their mutt, never except on the movies.
Plenty of dog owners willing to let their dog **** on pavement and walk on.

Of course you'd wind up all dog owners, since you're saying that none of us clean up after our dogs, which is untrue.

Plenty don't clean up, that's true, but I sure as hell do, as do most people in my estate.

    Do something about it then.

You can vent all you like on an internet forum but nothing will get done. There's a woman in my local town, she started a campaign to keep the streets clean, she has lobbied the local council for more bins, extra enforcement of litter laws and her campaign has a bit of a 'feelgood' factor to it as well, she has local schoolchildren involved, all the local vets, she has got great press coverage and has made national tv. How about that instead of an angry post?

Do you leave your kids nappies or pooey baby wipes in the grass in the park? How about yoghurt pots, wrappers, half eaten chocolate bars, juice cartons, drinks bottles, ice cream cones, bread? Do we have to put up with all you parents wrecking our park? Also when your kid is a teenager will you turn a blind eye to it knacker drinking and leaving used condoms and broken bottles littered all over the place?

OP, I'm not entirely sure what this thread is intended to accomplish. As you wouldn't expect people who post in other specialist forums to break the laws relating to their speciality, where such laws exist, it's unlikely you're going to find many here who don't pick up after their dogs in public places.
I'd suggest you take your case up with those that can actually do something about it, i.e. your local council dog wardens.
    Thread closed.
    Thanks,
    DBB

Edited to add: to others, please use the report function, and let mods take care of problems, rather than taking on to deal with perceived problems on thread yourselves
