    Hi

So I used to be on JA Allowance, but finally I found a job..I sign out and I got my payslip, unfortunatelly it seems that tax is too big for me. I have 780 salary and they took of 160 euro.. Is there any solution? On payslip it says: Emergency Tax and one of mates said that they will send me a letter and I have to fo to Revenue to refund money, please just tell me what should I do.

    Igor

Your personal circumstances dictate your personal tax credits .

For a quick response , contact your local paye tax office and quote your PPS number and your employers registered number .

    As a single person on gross weekly €780 , you will pay €31 PRSI - €42 USC - €124 tax .
    Total deductions - €197

These figures are approximate and will change depending on your personal circumstances .

Divide above figures x 2 to get fortnightly deductions .

Contact your local tax office to update your tax and usc allowances
