    Hi Folks,
I know this guy ;) And after after a brief love affair he asked this girl to move in to his apartment. He owns the apartment.

Is it true that after a certain period that the girl would have legal right to 50% of his property? I read somewhere that after only 6 months this would be the case!

After doing a lot of serching online i see most of the conversation is around the civil partnership bill ... but thats just got to do with Civil Partnerships right? Also I know in the UK they have some sort of idea of a common law wife that can take effect.

Could anyone tell me were I stand on this? We dont know each other so well.. and its all very spontanious... so dont know where it will go... even after 6 months... but a legal pit like this would be awful to fall into.

    Thanks community

Look at part 15 the Act covers cohabitants. Section 202 is important, best to get proper legal advice in relation to section 202.
