darragh man!!! I'm just coming to the end of theatre..first listen..first time ever hearing your voice..seriously, i would pay money to go to see you! Did you write these songs yourself? Honestly I havent listened to the lyrics closely yet because I'm just kinda engrossed by the tone of your voice. Your guitar playing also kinda reminds me of Ed Sheeran, the hard downwards strike between a few gentle strums.
Have you got a youTube account or something? Seriously I think you have a very unique tone, there isnt much I'd want to/be able to improve!
Keep it up lad, you'll make it big someday!

Very good Darragh. I didn't have much time to spare so i picked Theatre at random. Nice playing and tuning, interesting lyrics and very good voice with plenty of individuality. You have a lot going for you. It's down to hard work now and a bit of luck.

    Best of luck with that.

hi darragh, i listened to ur songs on soundcloud. You have a good voice, well able to sing. to me i would dirty up the sound a bit. i always wanted to be in a band, the reason been to get girls and be cool like Jim Morrison. I think you have the voice, to allow u to thicken up the sound a little. Nick Cave does it, and he still manages to sing meaningful lyrics and can deliver them like a sledgehammer, and my goodness he has stage presence. Another guy to look at is Kevin Rowland from Dexys, back after 27 years with a stunning album, seeing him live is a joy to behold, he owns the stage. I think alot of that showmanship is missing theses days i.e Mick Jagger, John Lennon, Jim Morrision, Joe Strummer, Morrisey, even Luke kelly, Ronnie Drew, Liam Clancy.Look at the great Nick Drake he was quite but had a cool pressence about him, and his records had a distintive sound.
So what i'm trying to say is and i hope you don't mind, u have to up your game an awful lot, yes u can sing and i like the voice ur music needs a hook a melody an intro a chorus be it one line or one word, i'm not saying a rigid verse chorus verse formula, but u know sometimes it works. If most of us sit down in the cold light of day and take a good look at ourselves, were not getting the best out of ourselves, in my case at 40 years of age if i was to get a school report it would say must try harder. In footballing terms look at Garret Bale a couple of years ago his carear was heading down the journeyman route, now look at him today, the worlds most expensive player, most of it was hard work but alot of it was confidence.
have a listen to that dexys album it's called one day i will soar. and smashing pumpkins new album oceania, also bands like the Go Betweens, Jack White, actually my mind is gone blank now. Hope you don't take offence to this, like i said u got the main ingredients.
