Wisdom teeth

I think my wisdom tooth is coming through on my left side. It is a little uncomfortable when trying to eat and to shut my teeth fully. I researched it a little and there is a lot of stuff about getting them out by a dentist. But I'm just wondering is it natural for it to be uncomfortable when they first start to come out? It's not an extremely pain at all, just uncomfortable as I said above. I've read that they don't always needed to be taken out. If the wisdom tooth is coming out grand, should the uncomfortableness go away soon? I'm 17, almost 18 by the way.

Any advice would be appreciated! :)

you will need to ask a dentist.no point asking people on this tbh.

These teeth normally erupt around the age 18-21 (some earlier, some later...) they can cause some discomfort from just erupting or possibly because food/plaque is caught there causing a local gum infection/inflammation....

Since you are young and the teeth may erupt more, it may be best to leave the tooth to erupt more and possibly come into a good functional and cleansible position (your dentist can assess this, ie is it at a favourable angle for eruption and is there sufficient room at the back of the mouth/jawbone to accommodate it). If not, then even at this early stage, you should look into having it removed as you risk recurrent infections or possible damage to the adjacent tooth (again, only your dentist can assess this)...

Let us know how you get on
