Micro filters needed?

    I've got ADSL2+, 10mb down 1mb up...on Vodafone with a Huawei HG556a....it came with the filters, but i read that its better to connect the RJ11 direct to the wall socket without filters and then into the modem.

    I never use the line the phone cals, so.......... :confused:

    Try the modem without the filter and make a few calls. If the modem doesn't lose connection you don't need the filters. You may need them though to stop the hissing noise that you might have when you're on a call.
