    Hey!

I'm really interested in the brain and the behavior of people etc. I'm just wondering what's the experince of studying psychology in Trinity? Anyone want to share? :) Also is the material taught better or worse quality than other colleges? Trinity also seems to require more points this year for the course than colleges like DCU.

    Thanks! :)

i just finished 1st year, so far some aspects of the course are very interesting, others not so much, depends on your specific interests. there's also a fair bit of statistics involved which is no fun at all.

you can take a look at the modules on the course here http://psychology.tcd.ie/undergraduate/junior-freshman/

    Hey

I'm in my third year of psychology at tcd so I'll try to give you an answer to your questions ;-)

So yea statistics and the study of scientific methodology is a big part of the course, especially in the first two years.
    I liked it though!

Also there is a huge focus on biology such as studying the brain and how it works. Then there are social aspects of human behavior, some study of disorders....
Also history of psychology.. you learn a lot about how humans store memories, learn, act, think!

It's a great course. Couldn't Say if it's better than others as I haven't done them so I'd be biased ;-)

Also I think cao points are based on demand

    Hope this helps

Do you guys have any opinions about or experience with the broad curriculum intro psych or intro linguistics courses, like general quality (as compared say with this) or essay titles etc...?
