My computer has an AMD A10-5800K and a Cooler Master Elite 420. I only have a standard AMD fan on the motherboard and it has a little trouble expelling hot air from the case so I need to buy an additional 120mm fan. Preferably kinda cheap. I have no idea what sockets, etc. are necessary for this so can anyone offer any pointers? Thanks!

Are you looking replace the stock heatsink and overclock the CPU? Or just install a new fan in the case.. To be honest I'd do both you'd be looking for a socket fm2 CPU cooler but as far as I am aware nearly all AMD coolers use the same mounting. a good air cooler is Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO you could get a one for around €30 mark that'd be quieter than stock and give a good stable overclock.. . For case fans you have lost of options.. I'm using BeQuiet silent wings in mine they are great but a little more expensive

these are the 2 i mentioned above... there is cheaper ones but I've not really got any hands on experience with them so you'd need to check reviews to see how they compare

i wouldn't recommend getting them from the website I linked as 18.99 standard shipping is a bit expensive you'd prob get them cheaper looking on amazon dabs ect... maybe with free shipping i just used HWVS for convenience

    Item|Price
    Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - Intel/AMD|€29.94
    be quiet SilentWings2 120mm|€16.62

When installing the new heatsink make sure to remove all the thermal paste off the CPU and reapply new thermal paste there's videos on YouTube how to do this.. To remove thermal paste I use isopropyl alcohol you can get it from most pharmacy's just explain what it's for I got 200ml for about €3 and then use lint free paper to clean it.. Coffee filter paper is lint free and inexpensive.. I got mine from a local hotel for free.. One should go the job

Ok thanks :) I am thinking for now I might just add an extra 120mm case fan. I have a Gigabyte F2A55M-HD2. Do you know what connections I would need the fan to have? I'm kinda a noob at this stuff, sorry!

I can vouch for F12 fan recommended by spix. Amazing fan for it's price.
