Nursing Career options

    Hi -

I'm doing some research into returning to nursing as a mature student & have a few questions!

I'm considering childrens nursing - for people who have/are doing it what are the main differences between childrens nursing & adult - is there a different skill set/aptitude etc required?

What are the possibilities for career progression in Ireland? What areas can you go into with a nursing degree - either directly or indirectly related to it? Also is there opportunities, or will there be in the future to get into specialist areas ie nurse specialist etc?

    Thanks! :)
