Washing machine problem

I've a Hoover washer-dryer machine (HNWF7148) and its currently flooding the room. The bottom left thing you twist around, take out and remove blockages is clear so not quite sure what's causing this flooding.

    I've two questions:

    1) What could the current flooding problem be caused by, and how can I solve it?

    2) What would be a good replacement washer-dryer machine, and is there any place that would give me some money for this Hoover?

Turn it upside down and check the pipes, ect.

MP 22 turning it upside down not recommended as the drum springs and shocks will fall out of position, these machines rarely leak and if so usually from the rubber door gasket which can be quite easily be checked by doing a visual inspection and the other common fault for a leak is a hole punched out through the drum by some foreign object in there when spinning, a simple way of checking location of leak is push in a sheet of newspaper under machine when its filling and pull out again when machine is full, it will leak almost directly downwards and give you a good idea where to look, outer drums can be repaired in most cases with epoxy mixed with tissue paper.

From experience it is probably coming from the sump waste pipe, it may be loose or have a hole, very easy to fix and replace. It's basically the hose that connects between the drum and the part you twist open to get to the filter.

Good call. I think this was it. I ended up getting a washing machine guy out and he said the drum was loose. He only charged €40 cash so that was grand. Thanks.

Hi again, so after being away with work, decided yesterday to try a small wash in it, same again but worse this time, it leaked everywhere ontop of the above symptoms, leaked out the door, the drawer for washing powder and somewhere underneath... Not going to bother paying someone to look at it given its age and just pick up a new one, semi descent ones from about 275 in a sale ATM...

Thanks again for all the help guys!
